History
Joongki was thrown headfirst into difficulties a lot of people never have to face. It made him a stronger person, and most days that's enough to make up for an almost lost childhood.

He was born on the 9th of September 1992 to a young nurse and an accountant. The couple had planned their lives together down to the smallest detail, including Joongki and much of his early childhood. Kindergarten, extra curricular activities, tutors, everything was sorted and picked out before Joongki could even walk. They wanted to prove family and career could go hand-in-hand, and for a while it worked perfectly. However some things were impossible to foresee, let alone plan for.

On the 12th of May 2000 while on the dreaded night shift, Joongki's mum had an accident. It wasn't particularly serious at the time, just a simple case of clumsiness and wrong-footing while walking down a flight of stairs, according to her account of it. The only external injuries were a few bruises here and there. Gradually back pain became more and more of a problem, and as Joongki would tell people, doctors and nurses make the absolute worst patients. His mum never said a word about it, until one day she couldn't move her legs. Pressure had built up in her lower back, causing a herniated disc, and unfortunately complete paralysis from the waist down.

Joongki was eight, and practically a full-time carer.

He and his father took it in turns most of the time though. On weekends and weekday evenings he'd stay at home to look after his mother, while his dad spent time in the office catching up on things he hadn't the chance to finish while working from home during the week. All in all, they were still the same happy family, despite everything. His mother would often chuckle about it though, how she'd spent ten years caring for the ill and now there she was, needing care herself. Joongki especially admired that about his mother. Even when she needed help with the simplest things, she never felt sorry for herself, and that had a big impact on the man Joongki grew up to be.

At nineteen Joongki started at Yonsei University. Back then he really hadn't time to rush a fraternity or attend many parties, but it felt wrong not to. After all he wanted the full university experience, and so he rushed KAO, finding friends among the so-called jocks. Between studying, working, and helping out at home on weekends, Joongki was heading towards a complete burn out. It was his father's idea that Joongki take a break. Although that so-called break turned into mandatory military service, after all he had never been one to sit at home doing nothing at all. He needed a cause and a purpose, the Navy fit the bill.

After 23 months of the hardest work he'd ever experienced, Joongki returned to Yonsei.

Personality
Joongki is a lot like a mother hen. He likes to take care of people, and he can get a little over protective from time to time, but he does try not to be overbearing.

He can be a little sarcastic, occasionally a little gruff in a cruel to be kind way, but really he's a sweet guy only wanting the best for those close to him.

He works hard in everything he does, sometimes too hard, and no matter how many times he's told to take it easy he just can't. Too much free time almost makes him feel guilty, there's always something he could be doing.

Secrets

● Has reoccurring nightmares about being held down and unable to escape. Secretly that's one of the reasons he trains so hard, to make sure that physically nothing could ever hold him down.
● Falls in love very easily. He might not openly believe in love at first sight but deep down he knows it can happen.
● Self conscious about his looks, if only because he's continuously asked to show ID whenever he goes anywhere. Baby-faced is not a compliment in his opinion.

Plots/lines/etc

● An ex-girlfriend from before he joined the military. That would've been the reason for breaking up.
● Close friends who know everything. He doesn't like to discuss his family with just anyone. Ladies or Gents, all are welcome.
● Fellow military men! So they can reminisce like old men looking back on the second world war. Over exaggeration will happen, no doubt.
● Sibling figures, preferably younger. He really likes to take care of people.
● Anything that might spring to mind, don't be shy!
